The Collaboration for Health in Papua New Guinea (CHPNG) is a philanthropic initiative of a group of Australian pharmaceutical companies whose aim is to improve the health and well-being of the people of PNG as a contribution towards increased political and social stability in Australia’s nearest neighbour.

The Collaboration was established at the beginning of 2003 following extensive consultation with key agencies and organisations involved with the HIV epidemic in Australia and overseas during the latter half of 2001 and throughout 2002.

“Collaborations, Consortiums and Models of Cooperation: The history of the CHPNG” provides a comprehensive review of the evolution of the CHPNG up until the end of 2003.
